Have another, creep into lucidity Let these little yellow pills make you believe You’re not unhappy, now you feel nothing at all You’re becoming an insipid zombie Emotion is life, the pain makes us feel alive And happiness can never be prescribed Now medicated, contemplating suicide ‘Cause there’s no meaning left in your life Meet me in Montauk I’ve been waiting there alone I’d give anything to see you resurrected As you slowly come to life We can both apologize For the destiny that we both took for granted Burns a hole inside Makes a martyr of my pride But it’s better to be striving for something Than stuck feeling nothing You don’t protect your kids by hiding them from pain Pushing mood enhancement drugs on them at such an early age The adolescent years are frightening and confusing And they leave teens feeling helpless and alone In need of something
2.
Time strangles mortality to its final breath And our regrets stare at us blankly until the end And the sea of opportunity was much too deep We were afraid of drowning in our pain And never finding what we seek At times nostalgia laughs and spits in our face Reminds us that things will never be the same We can’t hold on Look into the witch’s eye and rest assured You’ll know to live each day Unconscious of all your fears and apprehensions We roam in purgatory choosing sides Always hoping for a glimpse at afterlife We go from pleasure to pain From sane to insane Struggling to create that beautiful place For us to escape We can’t move on We can’t look forward to tomorrow If we’re stuck living in yesterday

Strawberry fields have burned away Our beautiful place has frozen over Awake in dreams and asleep through life As we create our own nightmare Dehumanized, we fit the mold And self has no place to call home Trapped inside the world of dreams I’m my greatest enemy Characters play their role And the joke’s always on me The surface is guarded By an army of incomprehensible numbers We are the martyrs Sacrificing our souls for euphoric fantasy Measure my will in ounces So I can pay by the pound Nothing is free, not even our thoughts Still we…cast aside all that is unknown Never inquiring within How meaningless our lives have become We’re lacking a reason to live
5.
Simple logic is our crutch To the closed minded ignorance Can you make your own opinions? You were bred into this hate You’re programmed to think this way Realize your own objections Just across this decadent street There’s abandoned buildings With families inside With nothing to eat They can’t even sleep Cause they’re constantly terrified I forget the petty hardships in my life Try to see things from the other side Are we too preoccupied to feel grateful? Are we so blind? Is it fear of what we don’t know Or made up of the stories we’re told Are we even that different at all? Social class is not state of mind With a paycheck you’ll never find Who you are and what you stand for I was there... Standing in silence Alone in the darkness The night compassion died Aware of my own distractions A need for revision I decided to care Hats off to my generation We’ve lost all meaning We’ve lost all hope We’re the children without any answers From broken American homes A body was born without a soul So when nobody loved him he kept control And he never felt anguish or sorrow or pain Just a chemical makeup of body and brain Our children are the soul-less Tonight’s the perfect night To be set free From all of the tangible feelings that made us the way that we are Now Hitler can be resurrected and show us how perfect we are
6.
They are leading to our obliteration Individualism will die I’m proud to be an adversary I am not afraid of their lies I can see off into the distance All these lives we’re lost for the truth They stand tall on their pillar forgiving Those without any clue For years there were no answers So they concocted stories Fantasies to fill the blanks As years went on there was advancement And scientists progressively began to understand But they taught their myth as fact And refused to acknowledge The discoveries man made So then began the persecution of enlightenment The evil power they could not withstand If we can find a way to scratch beneath the surface We’ll expose all the malevolence enduring our existence There are lobbyists whose only goal in life is to destroy our periodical progression Shaitan, bringer of light The truth they denied out of spite For the scientists, the reasons why They put fear in the hearts of those they preach You look up to the sky, you objectify You see a picture of god in your mind But you never sustain the belief in your heart If you could find the child inside yourself You may see your faith without guidelines Total acceptance and love The only truth from up above
